Education at the Upper Levels

An examination of changes over time at upper educational levels shows a sharp increase by age in the proportion with higher academic degrees among men and women of all ethnic origins and the significantly higher levels of education among European-American origin Jews than other groups (Table 7.3) Differences between those socialized in Israel and those immigrating to Israel at age 17 or over (i.e., receiving their education in countries of origin) are striking.
